Do I need a diagnosis like BPD to benefit from DBT?

No. DBT is for anyone who feels emotions intensely, struggles with relationships, or finds themselves stuck in unhealthy patterns. You don’t need a specific diagnosis to gain something real and lasting from this work.

Is this a support group or a therapy group?

Neither. This is skills training. Think of it like a class—with structure, worksheets, and direct instruction on how to handle what life throws at you.

Will I have to share my personal story?

Only if you want to. You’re never required to open up beyond your comfort zone. This is a safe, guided space to learn—not to perform.

How long is the group?

Each cycle runs for 24 weeks (6 months). It’s a commitment—but most people say it flies by. Many even choose to repeat the group because of how effective it is.

Do I still need a therapist?

Yes. These groups are designed to complement—not replace—individual therapy. Especially if you’re working through trauma, risky behaviors, or deep emotional pain, you’ll want 1:1 support alongside this skills training.

What if I’ve tried other groups and they didn’t help?

That’s exactly why we created this one. This isn’t an open circle or free-for-all. It’s structured, clear, and proven. And it’s run by clinicians who live and breathe this work.
